Drone Alliance sets a new standard for Police drones with Centrik

The Alliance Drone Team, one of the UK’s largest police unmanned aviation systems (UAS) programs, has been able to expand and effectively manage operations covering almost 5,000 square miles, thanks to Centrik.

The operational management system – the only one of its type approved by Regulators to manage both manned and unmanned operations – has easily and effective co-ordinated activity for almost 50 police UAS pilots across South West England.

A collaboration between Devon and Cornwall Police and Dorset Police, the Alliance Drone Team integrates UAS into the emergency services environment, supporting law enforcement for missing person searches, major events, and firearms incidents.

GeoCue Group Hosts True View UAV LIDAR/Camera Sensor Demonstration Day in Davis, California

MADISON, AL – GeoCue Group will present a True View Demonstration Day in Davis, California with the partnership of California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection and California Department of Transportation on October 3, 2019.

This demonstration will consist of an onsite flight of GeoCue’s True View 410 sensor mounted on the DJI M600. The demonstration flight will be held at the Cal Fire Facilities. Trinity F90+ UAV with PPK, long-range telemetry and ADS-B in & out

German-based Quantum-Systems GmbH released the enhanced version of the Trinity F9, the Trinity F90+ at the Intergeo today. With a flight time of 90+ minutes combined with long-range telemetry solution of up to 7.5 km and PPK capabilities for more accuracy. Comprehensive and state-of-the-art features are available on both sides, hardware and software.

Increased flight time up to 90 minutes with dual payload configuration

Featuring new motors and increased battery capacity, the Trinity F90+ can now stay in the air for 90+ minutes. In addition, there are sufficient reserves to accommodate payloads of up to 700g. It is now possible to equip a dual payload configuration of Sony UMC-R10C and MicaSense RedEdge-MX to make use of RGB & multispectral sensors in one flight. Drone Tools Workshop: Vegetation Mapping for Professionals

UAVs, or drones, are an emerging technology for high-resolution aerial mapping and provide a powerful new tool for agriculture, forestry, and environmental monitoring throughout the growing season. However, accurate vegetation mapping can require more advanced skills, such as the use of multispectral cameras, the need to cover larger areas with fixed wings, and image processing to visualize plant patterns.

The goal of this workshop is to provide a weekend of hands-on training for vegetation mapping with UAVs, sensors, and software. The target audience is broadly applicable to professionals needing to learn the tools necessary to produce quality imagery layers. This includes forestry, wildfire risk assessment, agricultural applications, environmental consultancies, academic research, drone service providers, and more.
